WHS entrepreneurs sell Comet souvenirs

Students in the Waupaca High School entrepreneurship class will start selling hacky sacks on Friday, Sept. 16, as part of a class project.

Hacyy sacks will be available for $3 each through homecoming week.

Students will also be selling lanyards, silly bands, window clings and clothing items from Comet Central Store.

Comet Central is open Thursdays during lunch hours and before and after school Monday through Thursday during homecoming week. The class will also be selling products at the middle school during lunch and at WLC.

The students have invested their own money to acquire the skills and experience of owning a business. The class researched and selected a company to purchase the products, examined cost and profit levels and prepared advertisements promoting the sales of the selected items.

Each student entrepreneur must sell a set quantity of items determined by the business to receive their initial investment and share the profits acquired from sales.
