Family resource center hosts class on sex abuse

Sexual abuse and assault will be the topics of an information session at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at the Waupaca Family Resource Center, 515 School St.

Free child care for children age 2 and older will be available during the 90-minute session.

SAVS (Sexual Assault Victims Services) advocate Rebeckah Ripley will talk to parents about sexual abuse and assault, beliefs and attitudes that hinder the healing process and how to teach children about staying safe.

Whether ones child is a toddler or a teen, this session will provide the language and the skills needed to support the child in staying safe.

To register, call 715-256-1621 and leave a message, register online at WaupacaFRC.com or send an email to [email protected] with information on the number of adults and children attending, name, address, phone and any allergies the children have.
