Haunted Trails are back

The Haunted Trails are returning to Weyauwega-Fremont High School for Halloween.

Now in its third year, the event is a fundraising effort for the Weyauwega-Fremont Drama Club.

This year’s trail may be the best yet. Their story is that 20 years ago, a group of teenagers went for a hike in the woods and were never heard from again until this October, when they return to take others with them.

As a special treat, each night of the trails, a scary movie will be shown before the hike through the woods.

The movies will begin at 8 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

The movie schedule is “Insidious” on Oct. 21, “Cloverfield” on Oct. 22, “Goosebumps: Welcome to Dead House & Say Cheese and Die” on Oct. 26, “The Watcher in the Woods” on Oct. 27, “The Grudge” on Oct. 28 and “Dracula with Bela Lugosi” on Oct. 29.

The trail hikes will follow until midnight. The trails begin at the football concession stand behind the school.

Haunted Trails will be held Oct. 21 and 22 and also Oct. 26-29. The cost is $3 for the movie only, $5 for just the trails and $6 for the movie and trails.
