Olson charged with theft

Jonathan R. Olson, 25, Waupaca was charged Oct. 13 with theft and felony bail jumping.

Olson currently has five criminal cases pending against him in Waupaca County Circuit Court.

On Nov. 1, 2010, Olson was charged with two felony counts of possession of narcotics, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released from custody on a $2,000 signature bond.

On May 25, he was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping. He was released from custody on a $2,000 signature bond.

On June 8, Olson failed to appear for a scheduled court hearing and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On June 21, Olson was arrested and subsequently charged with two counts of burglary, three counts of theft and one count of criminal damage to property.

On June 22, Olson appeared in court and the judge set a $1,000 cash bond as a condition of his release from custody.

On Aug. 8, Olson entered a plea of guilty to one count of possession of narcotics, one count of felony bail jumping and one count of burglary. He was released from custody on a $3,000 signature bond and scheduled for sentencing on Oct. 21.

On Sept. 21, Olson was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting an officer and felony bail jumping. He was released from custody on a $2,000 signature bond.

On Oct. 2, Waupaca County Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Goerlinger responded to a complaint on the E1900 block of King Road in Waupaca. The victim reported that someone had entered his home through an unlocked door and stole a video gaming device, several video games, a laptop computer and a wallet.

The victim called police a short time later and reported finding his stolen games and equipment at a local store. The store clerk identified Olson as the person who brought in the items and sold them.
