WCNRF to hold annual meeting Nov. 2

The Waupaca County Natural Resources Foundation (WCNRF) will hold its annual meeting at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Waupaca County Courthouse.

The purpose of the meeting is to elect officers for the 2011-2012 year and review the WCNRF’s quarterly activities.

The WCNRF was created as a 501(c)(3) foundation with goals to enhance, protect and preserve the natural resources in Waupaca County.

The foundation has developed fiscal partnerships with many county groups including the Sturgeon Trail, Waupaca, Weyauwega, Clintonville Community Gardens, Clintonville Trails, Challenge the Outdoors and Pheasants Forever.

As a tax exempt foundation, the WCNRF can act as a receivership and disbursement agency for many organizations or projects that apply for and receive federal or state funding in addition to private donations and bequests.

The public is invited to attend the meeting.
