Four area runners wrapped up their 2011 cross country season Saturday, Oct. 29, at the state meet in Wisconsin Rapids.
Iola-Scandinavia sophomore Emily Sether made her first trip to state and placed 42nd in the girls’ Division 3 race with a time of 16:22.48.
A pair of Clintonville runners competed in the girls’ Division 2 race. Junior Samantha Hohn placed 39th in 15:46.55, while freshman Brianna Gretzinger was 64th in 16:09.44.
New London senior Macy Egan placed 68th in the girls’ Division 1 race with a time of 15:44.7.
Hartland Arrowhead swept Division 1 by winning the boys’ and girls’ team championships.
Wisconsin Lutheran (boys) and Dodgeville/Mineral Point (girls) placed first in Division 2, while Darlington (boys) and Oshkosh Lourdes (girls) captured Division 3 titles.
Freedom’s boys and girls placed seventh and third, respectively, in Division 2, while Rosholt’s boys’ team placed fifth in Division 3.
