Christmas activities in Clintonville

Frosty’s Holiday Christmas Parade is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, in Clintonville.

The Clintonville Area chamber of Commerce is seeking parade entries that are decorated to reflect the holidays. Musical entries and those that involve children are especially appreciated. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at the end of the parade, so the chamber requests that parade participants do not include them in their entries.

Registration deadline for the parade will be noon Friday, Dec. 2. To register contact the chamber office at 715-823-4606.

After the parade, children can visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Clintonville Community Center until 2:30 p.m. There will be children’s activities and performances by CHS Chamber Choir. Parents can bring a camera to takes pictures of their children with Santa.

Children are also urged to write their letters to Santa at the North Pole. For a reply, include a self-addressed stamped envelope through Thursday, Dec. 15. The North Pole Express Mailbox is located by the Community Center on the corner of Main and 10th streets.

Other holiday activities in Clintonville include the search for the Christmas Medallion.

Four clues will be posted in the Chamber of Commerce office window at 18 S. Main St. each Monday.The first clue was released Monday, Nov. 28. The last clue will be posted on Monday, Dec. 19 if needed.

The person finding the Christmas Medallion is to return the Medallion to the Chamber office where they will receive $50 in Chamber Bucks. Only one prize will be given.

The Christmas tree display along the Riverwalk Park behind the Community Center will be lit up for viewing between Thursday, Nov. 24, and Jan. 1, 2012. For more information on the trees or to display a tree, contact Clintonville Boy Scout Troop 28 at 715-823-6097.
