Waupaca County Sheriff’s report

? Nov. 25 – A caller on the 600 block of Woodland Circle, Waupaca, reported the theft of a deer stand from his property.

The following day, another deer stand and a game camera were stolen from the same area.

? Nov. 24 – A break-in was reported at the 100 block of West Campus Drive in Clintonville. All the windows to the building had been smashed.

? Nov. 24 – A 2000 Cadillac DeVille was reported stolen from the N4200 block of Driftwood Road, New London. The vehicle was found on the corner of Driftwood and County Road X.

Traffic

? Nov. 22 – A crash at 11 p.m. in the town of Waupaca resulted in minor injuries.

William A. Bork, 36, Weyauwega, was eastbound on U.S. Highway 10 when he saw a dead deer in the road. Bork swerved to miss the deer, lost control, went into the median, rolled over, crossed the westbound lanes and went into the ditch. He told police he did not need an ambulance.

? Nov. 21 – A teenaged girl was injured in a crash at 7:49 p.m. in the town of Weyauwega.

Mercedes D. Thompson, 16, Pine River, was traveling eastbound on Slough Road, west of River Road, when she went into a ditch. She was taken by ambulance to Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca for treatment of her injuries.

? Nov. 20 – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 4 p.m. in the town of Larrabee.

According to police, David W. Hron, 62, Amherst, was southbound in the right lane on U.S. Highway 45 when he attempted to merge into the left lane and sideswiped another vehicle that was passing him. Both vehicles spun out of control and overturned in the ditch.

Hron and the driver of the second vehicle, Kyle T. Jechorek, 20, Clintonville, were both transported from the scene for treatment of serious injuries.
