CAP Services’ Waupaca Fresh Start will host an open house from 2-3:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at the new homes constructed by young people in the program.
Two homes, at 2295 and 2320 Mayek Drive in Waupaca, will be open to the public for tours and the young people who built them will be on hand to talk about the program.
CAP’s Fresh Start program completed construction of the first home in the Eastgate Estates subdivision in May 2010.
Twenty AmeriCorps crew members learn residential construction under the supervision of trained staff, while engaging in other occupational skills development, community service projects and furthering their education.
