Darnell D. Zirbel, age 72, of Waupaca, passed away at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega on Thursday, December 8, 2011. Darnell was born on April 26, 1939 in New London, son of the late Arnold and Elsie (Bork) Zirbel. Darnell is survived by his sisters and brothers: Beverly (Bob) Glocke, Royalton; La Wayne (Nancy) Zirbel, Weyauwega; Karen Zirbel, Appleton; Janet (Don) Beilke, Appleton; Darlene (Lee) Mosher, Shawano; Charlotte Van Cuick, Appleton; Sandra (David) Le Clair, Combined Locks; Irene (Steve) Rothe, New London; Orin (Lynn) Zirbel, Royalton; Argil Zirbel, West Allis; Jack (Betty) Zirbel, Pembine; and Vicki Zirbel, Appleton. He is further survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Gerhardt, Steve and Jimmy Zirbel; also a brother-in-law George Van Cuick. The family would like to thank the staff at Hartman Place in Waupaca and Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega for their care and concern of Darnell. The funeral service for Darnell was held on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega with Rev. Robbin Robbert officiating.
