Rohloff, Kenneth C. Sr.

Kenneth C. Rohloff Sr., age 82 of Appleton, died Saturday evening, December 17, 2011, at the Heritage Assisted Living in Appleton. Kenneth was born on March 11, 1929, in Appleton, Wisconsin, the son of Paul Sr. and Meta (Scholz) Rohloff. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army. On August 25, 1952, he married Cleone Krause. She preceded him in death in 1995. Kenneth was a life long operating engineer, belonging to the Operator Engineer’s Union Local #135 for 50 years. He loved to travel to Alaska and enjoyed eating out. Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Noreen Rohloff (Gregg), Menasha; three sons: Lance Rohloff, Alma Center; Kenneth Jr. “Chuck” (Barb) Rohloff, Fremont; and Wayne (Tina) Rohloff (Menasha); seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Rohloff, Shiocton; four sisters: Louise Albrecht, Appleton; Ruth Smith, Bear Creek; Marion (Buzz) Hintz, Appleton; and Alice Peterson, Janesville. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cleone; three brothers, Carl, Harvey, and Paul; and one sister, Dorothy. A funeral service for Kenneth was held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London.
