Searching for Long-Lost Cousins

A treasure chest of family memorabilia discovered in the attic on Christmas Day has a family from upstate New York searching for descendents of their great-grandfather William Montgomery.

William Montgomery was the oldest of thirteen children. He was born in Cambridge, New York, but lived most of his life near Shushan, New York. His undated obituary, found in the bottom of a box of photographs, mentions a brother Stewart and two sons, Fred and Ernest, of Waupaca, Wisconsin.

The grand-daughters of William Montgomery’s daughter Mabel (Fred and Ernest’s sister) still reside near Shushan, New York and would love to know if they have cousins living in Wisconsin. Are you a Montgomery cousin? If so,we’d love to hear from you. Please write to: Nancy Clark, 1163 Route 313, Cambridge, NY 12816.
