The recent death of a Clintonville man is under investigation by state and local officials
Officers of the Clintonville Police Department responded to a welfare check at 104 Flora Way in the City of Clintonville at 12:29 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31. The body of 54-year-old Kevin A. Golla was discovered inside the residence by officers.
Responding officers found that an unsuppressed and unreported fire had occurred inside the residence prior to police response.
An autopsy was performed on the victim in Madison on Sunday, Jan. 1. Initial indication as a result of the autopsy are that the victim died as a result of the fire.
An ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Clintonville Police Department, the Criminal Investigation Division of the Wisconsin Department of Justice and the State Crime Lab.
