Karen L. Lussenden, Waupaca, WI, age 73 – died on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Iola Living Assistance in Iola, WI. She was born on December 20, 1938 in Gilman, WI, the daughter of Richard and Mildred (Klingenberg) Glidden. She married David J. Lussenden on June 18, 1977 in Chippewa Falls, WI. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2004. Karen is survived by her children: Diane (John) Starling, of Seattle, WA; Jeff (Kelly) Lussenden of San Diego, CA; Kip (Sherri) Lussenden of Waupaca, Jason (CarolAnn) Lussenden of Bancroft, Michael (Susan) Lussenden of Madison, Lana Hoks of Neenah, Sheri (Corey) Behnke of Neenah, and Lori (David) Parra of Waupaca, 21 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, two sisters, Jean Sinclair of Waupaca, and Joanne Howard of Jenson Beach, FL, and a brother, Kenneth (Pam) Glidden of Gilman. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Karen was preceded in death by her husband, David, her parents, two sisters, Karen and Christina Glidden, and a brother, Kurt Glidden. Karen had been employed with the Waupaca Foundry as a graphics designer, working at the foundry for 28 years, and retiring in March of 2004. She served in several capacities with the Town Board for the Township of Lind, Waupaca County. She had many interests which included gardening, flowers, listening to and playing various kinds of music, and just living life to its fullest. A funeral service is being held today, Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI, with the Reverend Marcia Sabin, officiating. A visitation was held at the Holly Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, and again on Thursday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in memory of Karen L. Lussenden. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
