Xavier boys pull away in second half

After combining for seven three-pointers and 42 points in the first quarter alone, it looked like the Waupaca and Appleton Xavier boys’ basketball teams would put plenty of points on the board in their Eastern Valley Conference matchup.

Not so fast.

The hot shooting cooled off for both teams and Xavier returned home with a 61-52 win Friday, Jan. 27.

Waupaca also fell to Winneconne 63-46 Tuesday, Jan. 24.
