Vote for candidates who vote for taxpayers

Did you ever go to work with a list of things to do, only to find when you got to work things came up or your boss decided something else was more urgent? This happens all the time, right? No big deal.

Now, who would demand an extra $15 per hour if you were not able to follow your own plan and do your projects as you had scheduled? Weyauwega-Fremont School teachers, that’s who.

According to the Post’s Angie Landsverk, the W-F School Board voted to continue paying teachers (an extra $15 per hour) when they are asked to sub during scheduled prep time. Board members (Neal) Loehrke and (Dan) Kohl voted for the taxpayers but were outnumbered 3 to 2.

Collective bargaining agreements are full of these goodies; many amount to abuse of taxpayers. These are the rigid efficiencies built into the labor agreements Gov. Walker gave us the freedom to end.

When you vote for school board, ask yourself if the candidates are going to vote for the taxpayers, or will they vote to continue giving all the extras to the staff.
