The Clintonville girls’ basketball season came to an end on Tuesday, March 6 when they fell to Oconto Falls 61-40.
The Lady Truckers fought hard, a couple of lapses that led to too many easy points given up eventually led to the loss. They got off to a slow start in the first quarter, being outscored 17-6 in the first quarter. Clintonville was able to hold Oconto Falls to only eight points in the second quarter, but they scored only six points in the quarter.
It was a shootout in the third quarter with Oconto Falls outscoring Clintonville 19-15. The Lady Truckers were able to close the gap to 10 points but then gave up three quick baskets on turnovers and they were not able to make a comeback.
Hailey Sorenson was the only Clintonville player to score in double digits, as she scored 13 points. Markiesa Westphal scored eight points, while Brittany Hoffman chipped in five points.
