Studley, Diane

Diane Studley, daughter of Albert and Isabelle Nelson, died peacefully on Sunday, May 20, 2012. She was 82. Diane is survived by two sons, Peter (Ann) Studley and Tom Studley; two sisters, Elaine (Achim) Reschenberg and Elizabeth (Bob) Haberkorn. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard; son Logan; brothers Warren and Carter “Toddy” Nelson. Diane was born 07/31/1929 in Racine, Wisconsin. Grew up in Sheboyban. Graduated from high school in Wisconsin Rapids. Met Dad in Oshkosh. Was married in Stevens Point and raised three small boys in the red brick house Dad built in Appleton. Mom and Dad, along with Dad’s brother Jim Studley and his wife Caroline built Crestwood Campsites on Otter Lake. Mom was a professional secretary, typist and homemaker. She was also a very good folk-artist. Later, we moved to Waupaca where Mom and Dad created United Service Agency. Mom loved God, family, country, friends, good conversation, music, art, reading, cross-word puzzles, travel, Waupaca, the Chain-‘O-Lakes, cashew chicken at Chef Chu’s, the parade of people at the Harbor and later, coffee at the Truck-Stop. Mom will be missed by many friends and family, welcomed by the many others who went before, and, will leave behind memories of beauty, laughter and joy. The Memorial Service will be held today, Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home. There will be a visitation on Thursday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. We can’t thank everyone for everything, for the many good years with Mom – but thank you RMC, AMC, the Heart Institute, the Device Clinic, Dr. Bob Peterson, Dr. Tauchman, Dr. Sletten and so many others. And thank you Bethany Home. Above all, we thank God for our Mother. “Love to All”.
