Lewis, Rev. David J.

Rev. David J. Lewis was born May 9, 1938 in Hancock, MI, son of the late Joseph and Marie (Auger) Lewis. He was ordained May 28, 1966 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay by Bishop John B. Grellinger. Father Lewis served as Assistant Pastor of St. Luke Parish in Two Rivers, as Pastor of St. Patrick Parish in Menasha, as Co-Pastor of Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Green Bay, and has served as Pastor of Most Precious Blood Parish in New London since 2000. He is survived by a brother Brian (Debby) Lewis, Appleton; also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Mass of Christian Burial took place on Tuesday, June 12 at 11:00 AM at Most Precious Blood Parish in New London with Most Reverend Robert F. Morneau as Celebrant and Most Reverend Robert J. Banks concelebrating. Fr. Willard Van De Loo was homilist. Reception of the Body was on Monday, June 11 at the church starting at 1:00 PM. Visitation followed until a parish Prayer Service at 7:00 PM led by Mary Vanevenhoven. A visitation was also held Tuesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. followed by the Mass.
