Waupaca County Sheriff’s report

? July 8 – Taylor Lake Marine, County Trunk QQ, Waupaca, reported that a customer returned her rental pontoon and was given back her $200 security deposit. She returned to the business later that day and asked for her security deposit again, which she received.

? July 8 – A break-in was reported at a home on the E7400 block of Magolski Road, Marion.

? July 8 – A caller from the 100 block of Walnut Street, Manawa, reported the theft of a silver Trek bike.

? July 7 – A Weyauwega couple reported that someone used their bank debit card to purchase $42 of merchandise at a store in Portage County.

? July 6 – A large canoe and the metal sides of a pontoon boat were reported stolen from the E1100 block of County Road Q in Waupaca.

? July 6 – A caller from the 1000 block of Riverside Drive, Waupaca, reported that someone entered her car, ransacked it and stole $20 in cash from the console.

? July 5 – A 78-year-old Waupaca woman received a call from someone trying to obtain her personal identity information. She gave the unknown caller her bank account number, then her son-in-law stepped in and ended the call. He reported the incident to her bank.

? July 5 – A break-in was reported at a garage on the N3500 block of County Road W, New London. A large number of power tools and woodworking tools were stolen.

? July 5 – Prescription drugs were reported stolen from the N11100 block of Buckbee Road, Clintonville.

? July 5 – A resident of the E2300 block of Woodridge Drive, Waupaca, reported that he caught someone going through their vehicles. The suspect took off running.

? July 5 – A wallet was reported stolen from a car parked on the 500 block of East Quincy Street, New London.

? July 3 – A torch and other items were reported stolen from a back yard on the N4900 block of Otto Road, New London.

? July 3 – A resident of the 500 block of Depot Street, Manawa, reported the theft of prescription drugs.

Traffic

? July 7 – One person was injured in a crash at 4 p.m. in the town of Mukwa.

Richard Perrault, 69, New London, was northbound on Jennings Road when he lost control of his motorcycle. Deputies said there were 222 feet of skid and scrape marks on the road.

Perrault told deputies that he had recently changed his front tire and just before the crash he heard a clunk.

He required emergency medical transport for treatment of his injuries.

? July 4 – One person suffered non-incapacitating injuries in a crash shortly after 6 p.m. in the town of Union.

Carissa Chapin, 23, Clintonville, was southbound on State Highway 22 when she failed to negotiate a curve, lost control and went into the ditch, overturning the vehicle.

? July 2 – A 52-year-old Waupaca man was injured in a crash at 6:30 p.m. in the town of Dayton.

Stephen Lawrence was operating a motorcycle southbound on County Road K near Rural Road when he failed to negotiate a curve, rode onto the gravel shoulder and slid into the ditch.

He required medical transport for his injuries.
