Babe Ruth team puts teens in baseball

The Clintonville Babe Ruth team currently owns a 9-7 record with three games remaining in the season, followed by a league championship tournament in Winneconne on July 28-29.

The team consists of players that are 14 and 15 years old from Clintonville and the surrounding area. The team plays in the Wolf River League which consists of teams from Bonduel, Shiocton, Manawa, Iola, Wega/Fremont, New London, Omro and Winneconne. This year, the Clintonville Youth League expanded its coverage to include players of this age in their program.

This age group was in need of many things, including equipment and uniforms. Klein Auto was ready to step up to the plate and help these boys have a successful season. Charlie and John Klein donated $500 to help cover the cost of the new uniforms for the team. Klein Auto, along with the Chevy Youth Baseball program, also donated some baseball equipment that included ball buckets, hitting aids and equipment bags. The Clintonville Youth League and the members of the Babe Ruth team appreciate Klein Auto for their generous donation and continued support of Clintonville baseball throughout the season.
