Rodencal, Ella E.

Ella E. Rodencal, age 89, of Fremont, died on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the Weyauwega Health Care center. She was born on September 26, 1922, in the Town of Bloomfield, the daughter of the late Martin and Lydia (Kobiske) Radichel. Ella married Harley Rodencal at St. John Lutheran Church, East Bloomfield on November 12, 1950. Together they farmed in the Town of Bloomfield for many years. Harley preceded her in death on March 13, 2002. Ella also worked at Hotel Weyauwega and J&K Specialty before retiring. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in East Bloomfield, and enjoyed flowers, cats, gardening and playing cards and bingo. Ella is survived by a son, Albert (Sonya) Rodencal, Fremont; two daughters, Shirley(Donald) Crossman, Markesan; and Judy Rodencal, Weyauwega; son-in-law, Randy Marquardt, Fremont; four grandchildren, Linda Knight, Jeff Crossman, Jennifer Krueger, and Ryan (Holly)Marquardt; seven great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Gretchen Rodencal, Fremont; a brother-in-law, Marvin (Ruth) Rodencal, Greenville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Marquardt. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 8580 37th Ave., Fremont. Rev. Paul Fritz officiated. Burial is in East Bloomfield Cemetery. Visitation was held on Friday, at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, at the church, from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for St. John’s Lutheran Church. Ella’s family would like to extend a very special Thank You to the many care- givers at the Weyauwega Health Care Center, Theda Clark Hospital and Theda Care at Home Hospice. Your care and compassion was a great comfort and will always be appreciated.
