Wogsland, Shirley

Shirley M. Wogsland, 84, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. She had lived with Gail and Randy prior to residing at Terrace Estates the last four weeks. Shirley was born in the Town of New Hope on May 22, 1928, daughter of the late George and Belma (Nelson) Strand. She attended and graduated from Iola Schools. Shirley was united in marriage to Harry Wogsland on November 29, 1947 at North New Hope Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2007. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. She loved music and watching Cooking With Amy and Wheel of Fortune. She also loved the Packers and Brewers. Shirley is survived by a daughter, Gail (Randy) Halbach of Sheboygan, a son, Jack (Sandy Kozicki) Wogsland of Green Bay; grandchildren,Trisha and Tanya (Troy Rienaking) Halbach, Kyle (Jenny) and Nathan (Jessica) Wogsland and Libby (Pat) Wetzel; great grandchildren, Klohie and Keegen Kuehne, and Grant Greta, Emma, and Brooke Wogsland, and Mason Wetzel; a sister, Doris (Floyd) Loken of Milwaukee and a brother, Thomas (Kathy) Strand of Amherst Junction. She is further survived by sisters-in law, Sylvia Wogsland of Iola and Lorna Wogsland of Texas, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Shirley was preceded in death by a son, Gary, mother-in-law and father-in-law, brother, Allen, brothers-in-law: Emery, Norris, and Willard Wogsland, and Martin Langdok; sisters-in-law, Ruby Langdok and Evalynn Hansen. A Funeral Service was held at North New Hope Lutheran Church, Town of New Hope, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 1, 2012 with the Rev. Michael Peuse officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Shirley’s family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the doctors, hospice, chaplains, and staff at St. Nicholas Hospital.
