There is no military solution in Afghanistan

Yesterday I was listening to the radio and they were interviewing a professional baseball player who makes millions of dollars, and he was complaining about how hot it was in the batting cages when we had that recent heat spell.

Really?

I thought of my son who is currently serving in Afghanistan where it gets over 130 degrees, and he wearing 60-80 pounds of gear.

We never hear about the war anymore, not even during the presidential campaign. We rarely hear about the soldiers wounded and killed, which is happening more frequently.

Our thoughts are focused on the economy, but we need to remember that this war has already cost the American taxpayers over a trillion dollars.

Why are we continuing to support a corrupt government that the majority of Afghan people don’t even trust?

All we’re doing is feathering the nests of these endlessly corrupt leaders and drug warlords.

I don’t want to make this a political letter, but at least President Obama has a timeline for withdrawal, whereas Mitt Romney wants us to stay there indefinitely.

That’s easy for him to say, but are any of his five sons there?

The majority of American people are against this war. There is no military solution in Afghanistan.

Please take the time to express this to our president and/our your congressman or senators, and please pray for our soldiers.
