Schoenrock, Donald

Donald G. Schoenrock, age 86, New London, died on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, following a
lengthy illness. Don was born on February 8, 1926, in New London, son of the late Floyd and Ruth
(McGowan) Schoenrock. He worked as a traffic controller at Rockwell International in Lexington,
Kentucky until his retirement. He served his country during WWII in the Navy and US Army. He is
survived by his fiancee Dorothy Jackson; son Mark Schoenrock, Richmond, KY; two brothers, Dan
(Joyce) Schoenrock, Oshkosh and Chuck (Jan) Schoenrock, Niceville, FL; three sisters, Evelyn Myers,
New London; Betty (Dick) Blank, New London and Marlene Graff, New London and a son-in-law, Charles
(Debbie) Fox, Oshkosh. He is further survived by 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jo, daughter
Ronda and a sister Caroline Brigham. A graveside service with full military honors was held on Tuesday,
September 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London with Rev. Kate Croskery-Jones
officiating. A lunch followed at United Methodist Church, New London (709 W. Pine Street). Cline &
