Wandtke, Verna A.

Verna A. Wandtke, age 95, died on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Bethany Home in Waupaca. She was born on December 8, 1916 in Big Falls, Wisconsin. On July 3, 1940, she married Edward Wandtke in Iowa. He preceded her in death. Verna worked at the Cashway Grocery Store in Manawa for many years. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Kathy) and Kevin (Linda); grandchildren: Terrence Wandtke, Kelly Rickman, Tracy Herrmann; great-grandchildren: Bella, Ripley, Griffin, Ruben, Jake, Will, Elena, and June; siblings: Millie, Marilynn, Armella, Loretta and Bud. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters, Carol and Violet. A memorial service for Verna will be held on Monday, September 17, 2012 at noon at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. A visitation will be held directly at the church on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Arrangements are being handled by Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home, 176 N.
