Indians take three of four from Wolves

Weyauwega-Fremont stayed unbeaten in the Central Wisconsin 8 Conference volleyball standings Tuesday, Sept. 25 by taking three of four games from Manawa.

Scores were 25-14, 23-25, 25-13, 25-12.

Team leaders for W-F included Teal Tomaszewski (20 digs, 15 service points); Mariah Hulbert (23 assists); and Bailey Kapitzke (18 kills).

“While we were plagued by service errors, we still found enough effort to take the win from the Wolves,” coach Rena Tomaszewski said.

The Indians swept all matches night from middle school through varsity. The freshman team took three of five games, while the junior varsity squad won all three games.

The varsity team will head to Wrightstown Saturday, Sept. 29, for an invitational. The Indians will also play at Wittenberg-Birnamwood at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2. Both teams will head into the match with 6-0 records in conference play.

The match will determine the first and second seeds heading into conference pool play. Both teams will host pool play Saturday, Oct. 6.
