Bulldogs fall to Seymour

The Seymour Thunder rained on the New London Bulldog Homecoming football game on Friday, Oct. 12. The Thunder posted a 41-7 win over the Bulldogs.

Seymour scored twice in the first quarter and once in the second quarter to lead 21-0 at halftime.

The Thunder scored two more touchdowns in the third quarter to lead 35-0 going into the fourth quarter.

Seymour scored once in the fourth quarter, and New London got on the board with a 32-yard pass from Dylan Keehn to Matt Ott.

Seymour earned 14 first downs, while New London gained five. The Thunder netted 435 yards, while New London netted 82. The Bulldogs rushed 25 times for -7 yards.

Jake Schmidt carried 13 times for 23 yards, while Keehn passed for 89 yards on 11 completions in 14 attempts.

Matt Ott had five receptions for 40 yards.

New London will travel to Clintonville on Friday, Oct. 19, for both teams’ ninth game of the season. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
