Romney right for women, right for America

I would hate to see any citizen vote for President Barack Obama simply because Mitt Romney is pro-life, as written by Nicole Jacowski in her Oct. 18 letter to the editor.

I feel obliged to defend the Christian position that marriage is between a man and a woman, and that Obama’s mandate concerning insurance coverage for abortions (the very essence of Planned Parenthood regardless of the good deeds they may perform) is indeed against our constitutional right of religious freedom, as portrayed in the U. S. Bill of Rights.

For all those who want free contraception or abortion from taxpayer money, it is immoral selfishness.

Actually, the majority of women agree with our constitutional rights in this matter, as evidenced by Romney’s rapid rise with woman voters for him in the most recent polls.

He is up 18 points as of Oct. 18, and is now even with Obama with woman voters.

Why? Because women have seen what a fine, warm and capable person Romney is, mainly in the debates.

To move forward, in keeping with Romney’s quest to turn the U.S. around from its current path of indebtedness and borrowing, he has earmarked many cost reduction plans to help achieve our economic survival.

Planned Parenthood is one of these reductions to the taxpayer.

It can exist on its own, as many other businesses do, but should not be supported by the government.

And, on the plus side, women have indeed improved their position as equal citizens.

Examples are in sports, pay levels, working conditions, professional advancement and top executive positions.

And as equals, they should not be given special privileges such as contraception or abortion.

Other than that, all one needs to look at are Obama’s multiple failures during his four years; from the economy, to foreign relations, to immigration and others.

The economy is in shambles (e.g. joblessness, debt, borrowing).

Our foreign relations is a mess (e.g. the Benghazi, Libya lies and smoke and mirrors, calling this terrorist attack a spontaneous gang protest against a video).

And, there is our immigration free fall (e.g. Fast & Furious fiasco, giving guns to the bad guys).

These few are just the tip of the iceberg on Obama’s failures.

And he blames much of this on Congressional gridlock, even when he had the majority of Congress and the Senate as Democrats during his first two years.

Romney has sound solutions to all of this.

His lifelong track record of successes: The highly profitable Bain Corporation, turning the bankrupt Olympics around to a success, managing to achieve lower taxes with bipartisan cooperation and great improvements in education, making Massachusetts one of the highest ranking states in the country, while he was governor there.

Romney’s proven results and experience will turn our economy around, and put our people back to work.

How can anyone not vote for Romney on Nov. 6?
