Klumb, LaNore

LaNore Klumb, age 75, New London, died on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Hospital following complications after heart surgery. LaNore was born in Jackson, WI, on December 21, 1936, daughter of the late Wilbert and Irene (Sachse) Kurth. She was united in marriage to Herbert Klumb on October 11, 1958, in Jackson, WI. She loved spending time with her family and friends, reading, writing letters, planting flowers, and watching the Packers. LaNore was a longtime member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and was active in numerous church committees. Her church was the central part of her life. She formerly worked at AAL, Pranges/Younkers. LaNore is survived by her husband Herbert; daughter, Sara (Keith) Moore, and their son, Samuel, Traverse City, Michigan; son, Gregory Klumb, Oshkosh; two brothers; Orville (Betty) Kurth, Oconomowoc; and Roger (Sharon) Kurth, Rhinelander; two sisters;,Phyllis Ermer, Kewaskum; and Karen (Jake) Jacobs, Waukesha. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her parents and a brother Marvin preceded her in death. Funeral services for LaNore was held on Sunday, November 11, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Visitation was held at the church on Sunday from 12 Noon until the time of service. Burial will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the Emanuel Lutheran Church debt reduction fund and the Mission Project.
