Krueger, Janet R.

Janet R. Krueger, age 78 of Clintonville, passed away at her residence on Friday, November 30, 2012.

Janet was born on July 26, 1934 in Clintonville, the daughter of the late William H. and Gladys L. (Quimby) Schoneck. She was baptized on October 6, 1934 and confirmed on October 5, 1947 both at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Township of Dupont, Waupaca County. Janet graduated from Marion High School in 1952 and worked as a clerk and operated the soda fountain at the Drug Store in Marion.

On September 26, 1953 Janet married Donald W. Krueger at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Township of Dupont. Janet also worked at Horky’s Grocery Store and later at Sievers Hardware both in Clintonville. In 1972 Janet and her husband, Don started Krueger Sign & Electric in Clintonville with Janet as the bookkeeper. Janet was a member of the Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville where she belonged to the CLCW and enjoyed making quilts for world relief. Her hobbies included embroidery, playing cards (especially at the St. Rose schofskopf marathon), and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include: her husband, Donald of 59 years; her daughters: Marilyn (Paul) Smith, Clintonville; Donna (John) Pringnitz, Clintonville; Dawn (John) Peeters, Clintonville; Marcia Byron, Fort Pierce, FL; her sons, Dennis (Mary) Krueger and Mike (Claudia) Krueger, Clintonville; her grandchildren: Kandi Krueger, Lindsay (Ben) Benaszeski, Leah (Peter) Kucera, Dustin (Nola) Krueger, Chris (Maricel) Pringnitz, Ryan Smith, Cory Smith, Emily Krueger, Nicole (Aaron) Lamberg, and John W. Peeters; her great-grandchildren: Abby, Kaden, Clayton, Dimitri, and Aidan; her sisters, Carol (Gordon) Kramer, Elcho and Beverly (Herbert) Fuhrman, Apple Valley, CA; her brothers: William (Beulah) Schoneck, Marion and Alan (Jody) Schoneck, Winfield, IL; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Esther (Ken) Reinke, Clintonville; Jane (Larry) Long, IL.; and Donna Krueger, Clintonville. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Gary Pringnitz; her sister, Sherry Anklam; and a brother-in-law, James Krueger.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 5, 2012 at 11 AM at the Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville with the Rev. Brian Crocker officiating. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 5 until 8 PM Tuesday at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville and after 10 AM Wednesday at the church until the time of the service.
