Banicki, Beverly D.

Beverly D. Banicki, age 79, New London, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 06, 2012, following complications of a heart attack.

Beverly was born on April 10, 1933, in St. Paul, Minnesota, daughter of the late Guy and Evelyn (Alcott) Ross. She was united in marriage to Walter Banicki. He preceded her in death in 2000. Beverly worked as a nursing assistant at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King for 26 years, retiring in 1996. Beverly loved to sew and took great joy in making clothing for family and friends. Her hobbies included doll collecting, cooking, baking, crossword puzzles and reading.She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and loved to take them camping and fishing.

She is survived by her children: Jeffery Krohn, Newville; Bradley (Sheri) Krohn, Milton; Lori (Troy) Vanevenhoven, Combined Locks; Randy Krohn, Almond; and Brenda (Keith) Kemp, New London. She is further survived by a previous husband, Harold Krohn, Almond; a brother Donald (Terry) Ross, Mims, FL; two step-daughters, Linda Hemingson, Antigo; Brenda Gibbs, Weyauwega and a step-son Edward Banicki, Oklahoma. Eight grandchildren: Anthony Krohn, Matthew Gettendorf, Nicole (Chad) Schimmelpfenning, Samantha Krohn, Colby Scidmore, Tyler Krohn, Danielle Scidmore, Kyle Krohn. One great granddaughter, Vanessa Krohn, and numerous step-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Her parents, husband Walter, a brother Walter, granddaughter Elisa Banicki and a son-in-law Doug Scidmore preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Beverly will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at 11:00a.m. at St. Joseph Residence Chapel in New London with Rev. Bill Bartel officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at St. Joseph Residence Chapel from 9:00a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Baldwin’s Mill Cemetery, Town of Royalton.
