Sew Warm set for Jan. 4

Weyauwega-Fremont’s high school and middle school invite people to participate in Sew Warm on Friday, Jan. 4.

It will be held from 5-9 p.m., in the middle school library.

Caroline Adams started Sew Warm, with the help of the Service Club.

After she retired, it passed down to the student councils.

At Sew Warm, students and adults work together to sew and quilt blankets for the Fox Valley Children’s Hospital, local fire and ambulance departments and other organizations.

The evening includes a homemade meal, door prizes, beginner sewing lessons and free patterns.

Their goal is to make it a family project, with grandparents invited to participate in the night of service to the community.

People do not need to know how to sew in order to help.

For more information or to donate fabric or pillowcases, call the middle school at 920-867-8890.
