David A. Krause, age 77, (January 14, 1936 – January 30, 2013) of Fremont, died on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Bethany Home in Waupaca.
He was born on January 14, 1936, in the Town of Fremont, the son of the late Herbert and Alvina (Walbruck) Krause. On June 9, 1962, Dave married Eloise Biese at Christ Lutheran Church in West Bloomfield. Dave farmed in the Bloomfield area for 18 years, and then worked as a truck driver for Morning Glory for 27 years before retiring. Dave was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in the Town of Lind. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and deer hunting.
Dave is survived by his wife of 50 years, Eloise; a daughter, Julie (Lee) Hansen, Weyauwega; three sons, Scott (Kathy), Fremont; Paul (Dawn) Fremont; and Mark (Tara), Kimberly; 12 grandchildren: Lonnie (Karen) Hansen, Wrightstown, Lynnette (Shawn) Reid, FL; LuAnn (Greg) Jensen, WA; Brenda Hansen, Duluth, MN; Adam, Jordan and Hailey Krause, Fremont; Austin and Logan Krause, Fremont; and Landon, Owen and Alex Krause, Kimberly; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Leland (Lois) Krause, Weyauwega; a sister, Carol Handrich, Fremont; three brothers-in-law, Ron (Ruth) Biese, Weyauwega; Jim (Betty) Biese, Appleton; and Richard Biese, Appleton; three sisters-in-law, Bev (Vern) Evers, Appleton, Carol (Keith) Rondou, Wild Rose, and Sarah (Dave) Huebner, Waupaca; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Dave was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Stuart Handrich.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Emmaus Lutheran Church, N180 County Rd. A, Waupaca. Rev. H William Jordan will officiate. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery, West Bloomfield. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Monday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for Emmaus Lutheran Church.
