When members of the Fremont Elementary Student Council learned the Humane Society of Waupaca County was running low on supplies, they decided to do something about it.
The students organized a pet drive for the Humane Society.
The pet drive was held over the course of two weeks.
Students designed a bulletin board in the hallway and counted the donated items daily.
Members of the student council wanted to make it a fun competition, so they decided the class which donated the most items would get a movie and popcorn.
In the end, the students decided the real winners were the animals at the Humane Society.
As a result, all of the students in the school will enjoy a movie and popcorn for their efforts.
