Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society (LWMS) to hold Spring Rally

The Wolf River Circuit of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society will hold its Spring Rally on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 E Quincy Street in New London, WI. The theme for the rally is “All Over the World This Gospel Is Bearing Fruit and Growing- Colossians 1:6”.

Registration begins at 8:00 A.M. with opening devotion by Pastor Brian Hennig at 8:30 A.M.

Missionary Timothy Flunker, Hispanic Outreach Director for the WELS, will be the guest speaker. His presentation will focus on the great blessings God has showered upon the Latin American Traveling Theological Educators (LATTE) and Latin American ministries. A Bible study will follow, led by Pastor Preston Heuer. There will be a business meeting with election of officers, and Pastor Loren Fritz will lead the closing devotion.

A luncheon will be served at noon by the ladies of Emanuel to close the Rally. Child care will be provided. Visitors are always welcome.

Circuit member congregations include: Bethlehem, Hortonville; Divine Savior, Shawano; Emanuel, New London; Grace, Sugar Bush; Immanuel, Black Creek; Immanuel, Greenville; Immanuel, Waupaca; Messiah, Shiocton; Peace, Wautoma; St. John’s, East Bloomfield; St. John’s, Town of Center-Appleton; St. Paul’s Stephensville-Hortonville; St. Peter’s, Weyauwega; Trinity, Ellington-Appleton; Trinity, Redgranite; and Zion, Readfield. The LWMS was organized in 1964 to help support Mission Programs of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).
