There’s still plenty of softball to be played this spring, but Manawa’s Ansley Block already looks like one of the Central Wisconsin 8 Conference’s top pitchers.
The senior struck out 10 and allowed only two hits April 8 in the Wolves’ 2-1 win over Weyauwega-Fremont.
W-F also opened the conference schedule April 5 with a 7-4 win over Shiocton.
Manawa 2, W-F 1
Block and teammate Katie Langman each had two of Manawa’s eight hits as Manawa came up with a run in the second and third innings.
W-F scored in the bottom of the third.
Kelsey Akey took the loss for the Indians.
