What happened to reasonable thinking?

If Phillip Nolan’s thinking weren’t so absurd, it would be laughable.

One would think from his letter in the April 11 County Post that he is simply Republican bashing for its own sake

When has honest work, earning your living become such a bad thing?

Don’t forget that handicapped people, the aged and infirm are all exempt from the Search For Work requisite before receiving Foodshare.

Thus, only the Able Bodied Citizens are required to Search for Work in order to receive free food. If they refuse, no hand-outs.

Is this not a reasonable and honest rule? One could even call those who refuse to Search for Work to get food are their own worst enemies.

Working for a living, and earning a paycheck truly give one personal pride, and a good example to their families.

Even President Clinton agreed with Governor Tommy Thompson’s W2 program, which correlates with our new Foodshare rules.

I’m sure that this same reasoning was used by Governor Scott Walker and State Assembly Rep. Kevin Petersen, which led to this program in the first place.

I leave this reasonable thinking to the readers, and I shall not dignify any more comments like this by Mr. Nolan with a further response.
