Everette G. Collins, age 82, New London passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013, at Wisconsin Veterans Home, King.
Everette was born on March 22, 1931, in New London, son of the late Elzy and Jeanette (Suprise) Collins. On November 30, 1989, he was united in marriage to Carol Zerneke. She preceded him in death in 2010. Everette worked for State Farm Insurance Company in New London for 37 years. He served his country in the Korean Conflict in the US Navy from 1950-1953.
He is survived by his first wife of 35 years and mother of his four children, Pauline “Polly” Collins, Honolulu, Hawaii; two daughters, Kim Collins, New London and Kelly Collins, Honolulu, Hawaii; two sons, Steven D. (Rose) Collins, Northport and Kevin E. (Lisa) Collins, Hortonville; a brother, Richard (Carol) Collins, Florida; a sister, Donna Coyle, New London. Eleven grandchildren: Nathan Tapio, Appleton; Anthony and Jessica Collins, Northport; Breanna Collins, Appleton; Cody Collins, Hortonville and Devin Collins, Hortonville; one great-grandchild, Isabella Bushman. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His parents, wife and a sister Joyce preceded him in death.
Funeral services for Everette will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London. Burial will be in the Northport Ostrander Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. and also on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
