A case of the pot calling the kettle black

The letter to the editor in the May 16 County Post, “What conservatives mean by ‘family values,” was a case of the “pot calling the kettle black.”

This letter demeaned conservatives by the action of a conservative scum-bag senator who ran off with his mistress.

To cast all conservatives in his light (note the title of the article: “What conservatives mean by ‘family values”) and implying they think they don’t have to walk the walk is pretty small.

To demean all liberals for the action of democratic vice-presidential candidate John Edwards who also had a bout with a mistress would also be wrong.

Or to label all liberals as perverts because of the action of Democratic U.S. Congressman Anthony Weiner for his sexting scandal would be out of place.

When it comes to nasty, twisting-the-words-politics, we all know which political party wins the prize. In fact, our current president is real good at that.
