LaVonne K. Kessler “Bonnie”, age 68 of New London died peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 26, 2013. L

aVonne was born in Appleton, WI on February 2, 1945, the daughter of Clifton and Katherine (Moss) Leach. On June 6, 1964, she married Peter J. Kessler in Appleton, WI. LaVonne worked for the hot lunch program at St. Edwards Catholic School in Mackville, the Fox Valley Technical College food service program, and also for Tee Off Industries in New London. She loved feeding and watching the wild birds and animals, taking care of her flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren. LaVonne enjoyed traveling extensively, spending time with family and friends boating and camping on the Mississippi River and vacationing up north at the cabin for many wonderful years.

LaVonne is survived by her husband, Pete Kessler (New London); daughter, Wendy (Scott) Fassbender (New London); sons, Kurt Kessler (Bailey, Colorado) and Bryan (Cathy) Kessler (New London); seven grandchildren: Michael, James, Ashley, Aaron, Alicia, Tucker, and Morgan; and one great-grandson, Ryder. She is further survived by three sisters, Mary Lou (Robert) Holewinski (Menasha), Virginia Riedl (San Pedro, California), and Sandra Linskens (Greenville); one brother, Charles Moss (Waupaca); and one sister-in-law, Judy Leach (Eagle River); as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. LaVonne is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert and Richard; and brother-in-law, John Riedl.

The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London with Fr. Joseph Irudamoney officiating. Family and friends may visit directly at church Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Northport Ostrander Cemetery, Township of Mukwa. Cline & Hanson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
