Fewer laws, more obedience

We elect people and send them to Washington to uphold the Constitution of this great country.

So what’s the problem?

President Obama took the oath to protect and defend the Constitution but has done nothing but the opposite.

Our Congress took the same oath.

We have so many laws that they don’t know what laws we have, so they want to make more laws.

Enforce the gun laws we already have, not make more.

We had problems with planes and airports, so what did they do? Added more security.

Did it help? Yes so far, but it isn’t 100 percent.

Did they have to pass a new law? No. So why wouldn’t it work in schools?

Times have changed. Would you walk out alone at night?

Many say no. Maybe we should have a law so we can walk at night alone. Would you trust that law ?

Drunk drivers don’t need more laws to lower the legal limit from .08 to .05 or whatever they are dreaming up in Washington.

They would make us all outlaws because we had one or two drinks.

A man was picked up for his eighth OWI, and he didn’t have a driver’s license.

Will another law stop him?

No. He should have been locked up after his second arrest, not after his eighth.

What is wrong with our system?

Illegal means illegal.

What doesn’t Washington understand about illegal immigrants?

I understand more clearly why our once great country is disintegrating.

Citizens of other nations immigrating to our country via established legal processes are right; those who sneak over the border in defiance of our laws are wrong.

I’d expect a group of first graders to miss this distinction.

It bothers me that our elected officials feel righteous in rationalizing the actions of criminals. Especially when our people in Congress are responsible for the laws of our land.

This country needs to clean house in Washington big time and live the laws they pass
