Chill out at Scandinavia Public Library

The Scandinavia Public Library book group will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 25.

The group will discuss the book “The Endurance: Shackleton’s Legendary Antarctic Expedition,” by Caroline Alexander. Drawing upon previously unavailable sources, Alexander provides an account of one of history’s greatest epics of survival.

Also on Tuesday, June 25, elementary and preschool aged children can enjoy some stories and a craft during Story Time starting at 10 a.m.

At noon, film fans of all ages can join the library’s movie group to discuss the theme of patriotism in film.

Thursdays are the Scandinavia Public Library’s craft days. People are invited to bring their own craft to work on at the library during Crafting Bee, from 10 a.m. until noon.

The whole family is invited to the library’s Games & Crafts time from 2-4 p.m. Library staff will pull out a variety of games and craft supplies so families can make their own fun.

Both programs are open to individuals of all ages.
