Janke, William R.

Will R. Janke, of Bear Creek, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Crystal River Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born in Clintonville on March 5, 1952 to Walter and Dorothy (Schmidt) Janke. Bill farmed and lived on the family homestead in Bear Creek all his life. He was very involved with the Union Thresheree; he owned and operated Willie’s Tractor Repair. He enjoyed deer hunting and in the winter he loved to go into the woods logging.

He is survived by his children, Dawn Floyd of Oshkosh; Corey (Tammy) Janke of Waupaca; father, Walter Janke of New London; sisters, Virginia (Jerry) Olson of Arizona; Nancy (Jim) Wilken of Bear Creek and Mike (Dorothy “Sis”) Janke of Beer Creek; step grandchildren, Alex Welhouse and Jordyn Pelky and step great grandson, Trent Welhouse, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Janke and his grandchild, Kayla Janke.

The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 12 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Symco, with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. The visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. The Maple Crest Funeral of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements. A memorial has been established.
