Hintzke, John E.

John E. Hintzke, age 53 of New London, died at New London Family Medical Center on July 7, 2013, following a short illness.

John was born on August 5, 1959, in Nurenberg, Germany, the son of Francis and Irmgard (Doin) Hintzke. He was a lifelong resident of New London graduating from New London Senior High School and working for Hillshire Farms of New London for over 32 years. John made national news showcasing his Packer logo tattoo, which he proudly had placed on the back of his head. John was an avid Packers fan and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing golf with his family and friends.

John is survived by his father, Francis Hintzke; children, Katie Hintzke and Paul (Tanya) Hintzke, both of New London; grandchild, Mila Hintzke; brothers, Rolf and Theo Hintzke; best friend, Earl Lauveus; niece and nephews, Rachael, Ian and Adam. He is further survived by his first wife and mother of his children, Barbara Krueger; his two former wives; many nieces and nephews that reside in Germany; many great nieces and nephews; and one great-great nephew. John is preceded in death by his mother, Irmgard; sister Gieseia; and brother, Horst.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, 209 W. Cook St., New London, with Fr. Robert Groher officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The family would like to express a special thank you to John’s caregivers at New London Family Medical Center, the University of Wisconsin-Madison Hospital, and the Life Care in Pewaukee.
