Hollman appointed to Manawa School Board

Russell Hollman was appointed to the Manawa School Board at its meeting Monday, July 15.

He fills the vacant seat representing the towns of Mukwa and Royalton.

In his application letter to the school board, Hollman stated he was elected to the seat in the spring election but was unable to serve at that time. He also said in the letter that he wished to resubmit his name to represent the residents covered by that seat on the board.

Richard Lowney, who could not provide proof of residence at the June school board meeting, had also submitted an application letter for the vacant seat. Lowney was not present for the interview process at the July school board meeting.

After interviewing Hollman, and with no other candidates present, the school board voted 5-0 to appoint Hollman to the board. Board member Dave Strebe was absent.
