Kriegel, H. William, Jr.

H. William “Bill” Kriegel, Jr., age 63 years, of Tigerton passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Harvey William Kriegel, Jr., was born March 28, 1950 at the Clintonville Hospital to Harvey “Joe” and Virginia (Morris) Kriegel, Sr. Bill was raised in Tigerton and graduated from Tigerton High School in 1968. He went on to UW Stevens Point earning a major in both Political Science and History. Bill was united in marriage October 12, 1973 to Dianne L. Golueke at Resurrection Catholic Church, Green Bay. Bill began working in the family business, Kriegel Well Drilling, with his dad. During this same time, he worked for several years as a counselor at Homme Youth in Wittenberg. After his father passed away in 1989 he continued the well drilling business until the late 1990’s. In the early 2000’s Bill attained his ultimate goal of becoming a Lay Minister, first serving with all the TULP Churches of Shawano County and currently he was commissioned with Bethlehem Lutheran Church – Pella. In his younger years, he enjoyed coin collecting. Bill was very proud of his time spent with the Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) – Stevens Point Chapter. He served for some time at Zion Lutheran Church, Tigerton, on council and is a former congregational president. Bill always liked working in his vegetable garden, taking care of his lawn, was an avid reader, bird watcher, and hunter. He also loved to learn more about history and his German heritage. Another interest of Bill’s was shooting sports.

Survivors include his wife Dianne and four children: Bill (Sherri) Kriegel of Merrill, Joe (Dawn) Kriegel of Clintonville, Andy (fiancee Shannon) Kriegel of Oshkosh, and Jessica (special friend Steven) Kriegel of Tigerton. There are five grandchildren: Zach, Nicholas, Matthew, Mariah, and Emily. There is one sister, Lori (Bryan) Sperberg of Clintonville; his mother-in-law, Alberta Golueke of Green Bay, and two brothers-in-law, Alan Golueke and Dennis (Sue) Golueke, both of Green Bay. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law, Nicholas Golueke, and many aunts and uncles.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 10th at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pella. Rev. Tim Lofgren will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Tigerton, and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the church.
