Bulldogs lose to Vikings

The Denmark Vikings handed the Bulldog varsity football team a 28-6 loss on Friday, Sept. 20.

Denmark scored twice in the second quarter while the Bulldogs scored once in the period for a halftime score of 14-6 in favor of Denmark.

The Vikings added 14 more points in the third quarter, while the New London offense went silent.

The Vikings outgained the Bulldogs on the ground, 397-154. The Bulldogs had the advantage in passing yards, gaining 61 yards through the air, while Denmark had no passing yards.

The Bulldog defense had two interceptions, while Denmark picked off one New London pass.

Hunter Zaddack completed three of seven passes for 61 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Tyler Raschke caught all three passes.

Andrew Clauss ran for 127 yards on 15 carries, while Connor Hoell rushed for 48 yards on 10 carries. Zach Duenas added 32 yards on five carries, and Austin Wyngaard added one yard on one carry. Zaddack, Raschke, and Nic Strong ran 10 times for -54 yards.

Nic Strong and Zaddack both had interceptions for the Bulldog defense.

The Bulldogs will host their Homecoming football game at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4.
