Starting this week you can access information on the Affordable Care Act by going to the website at www.HealthCare.gov or phoning the call center at 800-318-2596 that is open 24/7. They will guide you through the marketplace, so that you can find the insurance plan and resources you need to assure the care you and your family deserve.
For those who already have insurance coverage, the law features coverage despite pre-existing conditions for children, keeps young adults under 26 years of age on their parents plan, ends arbitrary withdrawal of coverage and allows the right to appeal payment denial. In addition, it ends lifetime limits on coverage, requires review of premium increases and requires that insurance companies spend your premium dollars on health care rather than administration.
Your care will guarantee free preventive services such as cholesterol tests, mammograms and blood pressure screenings protect your choice of doctors and remove barriers to emergency services when you are away from home.
