Bulldogs top Marines

The Bulldog varsity football team earned a thrilling 27-26 win over the Marinette Marines on Friday, Oct. 18.

Due to the new proposed conference realignment, this game became the last that New London will play in Marinette. The Bulldogs will host Marinette next year, and the two teams will be in different conferences the following year.

The Bulldogs made sure their last visit to Marinette was a successful one, as Connor Hoell and Tyler Raschke both rushed for over 100 yards, and Hunter Zaddack and Nic Strong combined to pass for more than 200 yards.

Hoell gained 126 yards on 14 carries and scored two touchdowns. Raschke added 111 yards on 15 carries with one touchdown.

Zaddack passed for 195 yards while completing 11 passes. He passed for one touchdown and two interceptions. Strong completed one pass for 10 yards.

Jacob Thomas caught four passes for a whopping 146 yards and one touchdown. Jake Darsow caught two passes for 26 yards, Hoell caught two passes for 15 yards, and Brock Herzfeldt caught one pass for 10 yards.

New London racked up 17 first downs, 255 rushing yards, and 205 passing yards in the victory.
